Developing Partnerships
How to build your health and medical research partnership
There are many opportunities that exist for partnerships involving health and medical research. Partnerships bring advantages that can far outweigh a straight donation. By building relationships over time, partnerships can generate mutually beneficial and satisfying outcomes for all participants. The most successful partnerships in health and medical research draw on the combined knowledge, expertise, and resources that each party brings to the relationship.
Partnerships come in all shapes and sizes and can vary greatly in their objectives, scope and design. A partnership may present opportunities to create new and exciting synergies between philanthropic grantmakers, grantseekers and other organisations interested in using health and medical research to achieve far greater and mutually agreed outcomes. Further information is included in the Partnerships chapter of Research Australia Philanthropy's publication, Health and medical research: A philanthropy toolkit.
